Is it hard to obtain a permit for filming Red Square in Moscow?
It is pretty challenging. Various bureaucratic hurdles need to be removed in order to obtain this permit. It is also strongly recommended that a FSP officer accompanies you during the filming process. But we are able to make all these things possible.
What does your assistance with receiving a visa stand for?
We will provide you with proper consultation regarding your order of actions and document drafting. Depending on your particular situation there might be some tricky issues we will advise you on. Our aim here is to minimize your participation in all bureaucratic procedures and save your time.
Do I need a filming visa?
In order to enter the Russian Federation you need tourist or business visa type and the necessary filming permits for desired municipal and state locations. There is no such type of the Russian visa as filming visa. But there is such thing as journalist accreditation. Contact us and we will help you to choose a proper option for entering Russia and filming here.
Can I send the equipment separately from my filming crew?
Yes, we will pick it up and store it for you until the filming crew arrives or just deliver it to where it needs to be delivered.
My gear broke down during the filming process. What can be done with that?
If this happens on the Russian territory or on your way to us, there is still an option to rent the gear here on the spot. We will require a list of the items you need and we will deliver it to the right place at the right time. We will also check whether somebody here can fix your equipment.
We are planning on filming in several cities of Russia. Will there be somebody with in each of those cities?
Yes, there will be somebody with you and in between the cities, too. Generally we accompany you upon arrival, during the trip, while filming and up to the moment you leave the country. You might opt for travelling yourself, but we suggest a local person being with you at all times. Don't forget that you are not just tourists and you have valuable equipment with you.
Can you provide us with a Mandarin/Arabic/Spanish/etc. speaking fixer?
Our fixers usually speak English because they need to react to the upcoming issues and resolve them efficiently. That's why it will be a better solution to provide you or anybody from your crew with a PA or an interpreter who speaks the language you need and will function as a mediator in between you and the rest of the filming crew.
Can you help us find a suitable location that would fit our screenplay?
Yes we can. Send us the description of the place you are looking for and we will provide you with a list of selected locations of our choice. You will receive a text report with photos attached. For more options check the Scouting page on our website. If you need a custom-made location we will build it for you.
What about the quality of the Russian mobile communication and the Internet?
There are three major mobile communication and the Internet providers in Russia. With minor differences all of those have good quality connection and affordable prices. Using a local SIM-card will save you a lot of money. Upon request we will prepare local SIM-cards by the time you arrive in Russia.
How can I travel within the filming area (city/town/village)?
Apart from the logistics plan that we offer you all the big cities in Russia have an extensive public transportation system, which may include buses, trams, trolley buses, water taxi and subway. In general you need a travel pass for all municipal means of transportation. As for local taxi services, we have Uber and Uber-like companies working in most of the cities and towns. They have mobile applications that available for any mobile platform. Maps on your mobile phone will help you move around the area on foot.
Is it true that traffic jams in Russia are quite nasty?
It is true for big cities, especially for Moscow. In small towns it is unlikely to affect general logistics plan.
I got lost, what should I do?
Use one of the taxi service apps from the question above, try checking the area map on your phone, don't hesitate asking people around you, generally they are friendly and willing to help. They might speak a bit of English. Or just contact us - we will pick you up and deliver you to the desired location.
Our filming gear has attracted attention of a local policeman on a street. What should we do?
Our local fixers will handle all communication with the local authorities. In case you are stopped by a policeman while taking a walk after the end of a filming day, you can contact your fixer assigned to the production project or us directly. We will not leave you alone.

P.S Don't try to offer a bribe to a Russian police officer. Despite the rumors you might have heard, it is not a good idea. Whatever the problem is, we do not want it to become more complicated.
We are planning to shoot in a wilderness area. Can you provide our crew with proper catering?
Yes, regardless of the area we are able to bring ready meals to the set or arrange a travelling kitchen with cooks right to the filming location to serve hot meals to the crew once it has a lunch break.
Do you have experience working with celebrities?
